Yesterday I had little time but managed to eek out an envelope for my envelope book...the ongoing go-to project on my table.
Today I made a pillow. I know AMAZING right? well, its no sewing feat of mastery, but it is cute and did involve a z-i-p-p-e-r!
I am in the begining stages of redecorating our living/family room. The walls are robins egg blue and a light latte color. That's not changing. One of our walls is two stories high and the other three are vaulted; you would have to threaten life and limb to make me want to paint that again. (I admit, I hired someone last time, but I'm not interested in that right now either)
We aren't changing our couch and chairs either...yet. They are in good condition, comfortable and functional (read that as my husband won't give up his recliner yet, I hate them, but at least they are a neutral color and comfy.) So really I am changing our curtains, making some new pillows, recovering our end tables and painting a side table some shocking color.
The last time I updated this room I stuck to a v.e.r.y. neutral palette. Cream, White, Latte, the robins egg and some chocolate. I'm throwing all caution to the wind and working around the paint and furniture colors re-energizing this room.
Hopefully it will look like the eclectic mix I am dreaming of, and not just a hot mess.
A. Wall color and minimal accent
B. Furniture upholstery and a slighterly lighter version on the walls
C. Trim and molding, curtains and a bit of pillow action
D.-G. Pillows, fabric wall art, and trims
D. Possible color of round side table after sanding and painting.
Wish me luck. I'll keep you posted.
