Quilty Goodness Art Every Day 109

So, when a baby is in the NICU of a hospital, having surgery, or otherwise being cared for by medical staff Mommy and family have a lot of time to worry, cry, wait and hope. 

My sister and I used some of that time and worked together to make a quilt for her newborn.  As soon as she is given the 'all clear' she will be able to bring it to the hospital to go over, or even in his little incubator.

Happy Halloween Art Every Day 104

Okay, so for the past few years we have taken Xav, one of the dogs, to go trick or treating with some of our favorite people, and thier parents.  M-and L- always have great costumes and Xav likes to dress up with them.  Last year the kids were Daphne and Shaggy, so Xav was...Scooby.  This year L- was Buzz Lightyear, so Xav was Slinky-Dog!

Great idea, good attempt, decent execution, poor participation from the pup.  But, enjoy anyway!

Art Every Day 64 & 65

You thought I gave up right?  Thanks for the vote of confidence!  I'm here.  Yesterday was my birthday and it was an action packed day.  The best I could eek out was a series of self portraits with my new lens...yummy!  One of which I will share....

2 things... are those caterpillars or my eyebrows?  Whoa! And...I broke my glasses yesterday...notice the lovely tape job.

Today I putzed around with some pencils, but nothing really struck my fancy, so I headed to the thrift store in search of some old dictionaries and maps.  Dictionaries (3) check, maps (0) boo.  Looking forward to cutting these up.

And lastly I found a certain coloring book my nieces left here after their visit recently.  I have no idea how we missed it, because it is HUGE, or how it ended up under one of the living room chairs, but it is found now!  So my art today is actually M-'s art from the other day.  Found art!

LOVE Art Every Day 48

I wrote this for my husband, but I am sharing it with you because each of you has had a hand in making Art Every Day a success!  I love that and YOU!

I am finishing that watercolor landscape from the other day, but don't want to post it until its done.  Wish me luck.

Okay, so today on Facebook I challenged anyone who wanted to participate to a THEME Art Every Day.  The theme is Faces of Possibility.  I took the words a little more literal than I thought I would before I began.  I guess having my nieces here the past couple of days influenced me a bit.  I did little paintings of each of the girls.  They aren't exact, they aren't perfect, but to me they tell the story of two little girls who have the whole world in front of them, I'm excited to see how they take the reigns and fly!

Make Art Every Day 21

Today two of my sisters surprised me by meeting me for lunch, along with my two nieces.  We talked, played on the playground, colored with crayons, made faces and lots of great memories.

 

Do you know anyone that makes Art Every Day?  It doesn't have to be literally EVERY day, but that creative someone you know.  A painter, a sculptor, a mixed media collage artist, a knitter, a photographer, a chef!   Send them over and have them Link-up their creativity!
