Winter Wreath Art Every Day 182-183

Hi!  Missed you yesterday, had to take a personal day.  But...I worked on this, and finished it today. 

The circle of the wreath is a discard from a winter set up at a store I used to work at, lots of tiny mirrors wrapped around wire.  I made the felt flowers and Faux oil-cloth leaves myself.  I think maybe I should have sewn the flowers, but I went the glue it route, worked out okay I think. 

The buttons in the center are held in place by floral wire that passes through the center and attaches the flower to the wreath.  

It's an upcycled wreath...I love that!

Finally finished!

All that waiting, and that's all we get?  Sorry, I'd have shown you earlier but there was a lot of drying time involved.

Day 15

Building flowers from buttons.  Buttons that will become birthday wishes, for someone who loves pot.bellied.refrigerator.buttons. And I mean, who doesn't love PBRB?

p.s.  My husband is gonna freak when he finds the DRAWER OF BUTTONS I got at the flea market this weekend!  And I'm not kidding, it is a whole drawer, like from a dresser or sewing hutch, FULL of buttons.
