Hi! My name is Jennifer. I am a thirty-something gal living the good life with a great husband and some crazy dogs in Northern Virginia.
I really like to make stuff. Yes, you read that right, stuff, all kinds of stuff.
- I like to try most anything, but usually fall back on painting, photography, and stuff that involves more planning than I am willing to do, and more detail than I have an eye for. I love to pick a project that turns out to be a LOT more complicated than 'THEY' made it look. When I was a kid my dad overheard me say jokingly, "I'd like to learn how to do underwater basket weaving." Next thing you know, there is a pool, lots of water, basket making materials, and of course -- the manual. It could have been archery, painting, drawing, fishing, canoeing, oil pastels, kayaking, fencing, cross-stitch, or alchemy; he made it possible to try everything. I think he is one of the reasons I still like to make stuff.
- I left a job making more money than I ever thought I would make, to go back to school. Now I pour milk on the side to fuel my addiction to paint, brushes, and all sorts of crafty bits while I am finishing my degree. I am studying art and psychology, working toward my Master's in Art Therapy and Counseling. Yes, I'm late to the whole school scene, but it is working out perfectly for me! ****I Graduate May 2013!!****
- I am an artist. I make art every day. Last year I documented every day of that endeavor. I'm learning to hear my artists' voice more clearly each day.
