Well? What does it for you?
For me, it is as simple as the energy around me, the sun, especially when it is low in the sky and the wind through the trees on a sunny day.
Sometimes when I look at a piece of art I don't have a coherent thought, feel many emotions at once, my heart starts to race and my palms get sweaty, I kinda get a similar feeling like I did when I first met my husband--all-a-fluster. ( I don't think that is a real word, but...maybe it is now.)
I thought I would share some of my favorite artists, who are yours?

Klimt, The Dancer--Oh, the colors, the textures and patterns, this painting and many of his other works make me salivate.
Chuck Close, Untitled 1963--Probably more well-known for his photorealistic portraits (which are UNREAL, they are so amazing) his more abstract work speaks volumes.
Kiki Smith, Blue Stars on Blue Tree--The lines she draws are so beautiful, the women she depicts are you and I.
Picasso, Head of a Woman-- I know, I know, everyone loves Picasso, right?. Wrong. I don't love everything, but I really love his sketches, simple, unfettered lines, smooth transitions, lovely. I think most people know him for his abstract, out there paintings, but he was really a very talented more realistic artist as well.
Claudia Hellmuth-- Love her mixed media collages, whimsical, fun and personal, her artwork makes me SMILE!!
Kahlo, Two Fridas-- Hauntingly beautiful, especially all of her self-portraits. The colors she chose and the little details make her work special.
Yayoi Kusama, Ascension ofPolkadots on the Trees--Someone who loves dots MORE THAN I DO!!! Bright, eccentric, and positively wonderful!
What are some of yours?
